A native of Maryland, Jim attended The University of Maryland and Towson State University, and began his professional career in Commercial Real Estate Construction and development. His interest in financing strategies led to a career in mortgage banking where he immediately shot to the top of his industry. In addition to his successful career, Jim also believes very strongly in giving back to his community. He serves as President of the Northern Colorado Mortgage Banking Association and serves on the Board of Fort Collins Sertoma, a service club. An avid basketball fan, he is also a member of the Colorado State Men’s Roundball Club, supporting the men’s basketball program.
The discipline of athleticism is an integral part of Jim Hunter’s life. He lists as his favorite hobby participating in triathlons; and has competed in Iron Man Hawaii two times. He also loves to play golf and run----both recreationally and in Age Group Competition. By far, however, his favorite pastime is spending time with his wife and their five children.
